Splash pads are now closed for the season.
The Municipality is pleased to partner with local service organizations to offer splash pads in our communities at the following locations:
The splash pads are operational from early June through Labour Day, and are open from 8:00 am - 8:00 pm.
Splash pads offer an opportunity for your child to meet other children and to begin to develop their water confidence. The interactive water play area has sensors that users push to activate the water spray features. Features turn off when not in use. The water used at the spray pads is fresh municipal water, and is not recirculated.
The splash pads are unsupervised and have no standing water. The splash pads are checked daily by our Parks & Recreation Department. On occasion, vandalism or maintenance issues may prevent a splash pad from being active. For splash pad maintenance issues please call 519-245-1070.
We suggest that children have adult supervision at all times when enjoying the splash pads. Children aged 7 and under must be accompanied by an adult or caregiver.
Cloth or regular disposable diapers are not permitted in the splash pad area. We recommend "Huggies Swim Pants", or similar plastic pants with a tight fitting leg. Participants should also be in appropriate bathing attire (no fully nude bodies please), and we recommend sunscreen, a hat and swim shoes or sandals in and around the splash pad area.
SEASONAL: Usually from early June until Labour Day. Early/late seasonal openings will be posted on this page.
HOURS: Splash pads are operational from 8:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.
*Playground equipment has been identified for removal after June 1, 2016 as part of the Municipal Parks Rehabilitation Program
