Starting in 2017, the Municipality of Strathroy-Caradoc is sponsoring a Civic Awards Program.
The aim of the awards program is to recognize the important contributions of volunteers in Strathroy-Caradoc. Awards will be given out each year. Individuals and organizations will be considered based on community service over the previous calendar year, or longer, in the case of lifetime achievement awards.
The Parks & Recreation Department developed the awards program in conjunction with the Parks & Recreation Advisory Committee, the Civic Awards Committee, and municipal management. The Civic Awards Program is another recommendation implemented from the 2015 Parks and Recreation Master Plan.
Individuals or organizations can be nominated for a Civic Award by any member of the public. Awards will be available annually in a wide variety or areas, listed below. If the Committee feels it does not have a nomination of sufficient merit in a particular category, an award for that category may not be given in that year.
Nominations will be accepted from March 1, 2017 through April 30, 2017.
Awards will be presented to the winners at a designated council meeting prior to the Civic Awards Recognition Barbecue held in August. Recipients of awards will receive a framed certificate presented by council at a designated monthly council meeting. The award recipients and all nominees along with their families would be invited to an annual Barbecue and Free Swim at the Fair Grounds Aquatic Park in August to recognize all of them for their important contributions to their organizations and the community as a whole.

Nominations open on March 1, 2017, and will be accepted through April 30, 2017.
Nomination forms can be completed and submitted in one of two ways:
