 2010 Municipal Election

The 2010 Municipal Election is Monday, October 25th. (NEW FOR 2010)
(The Province of Ontario recently changed the Municipal Election day to the fourth Monday in October.)

Election Method
The Municipality will be again using the VOTE-BY-MAIL process for the 2010 election.
Instead of travelling to a polling station on Election Day, the ballot will be brought to your mail box.
With Vote-by-Mail, voters can fill out their ballots in the privacy of their own home.  Casting a vote is as easy as mailing a letter.
Voters will receive a Voter Kit in the mail containing all of the materials required to place their vote by mail.  The voter simply follows the instructions in the kit, deposits the ballot in the mail using the postage paid response envelope, and the ballots will be delivered to the Municipal Office in Strathroy for tabulating on Election Day.  If you choose not to mail your vote, you may drop off your ballot at the Municipal Office during regular business hours or in the after-hours drop box.
Ballots received after 8:00 p.m. on Monday, October 25, 2010 will not be counted.

Please view the Mail-in Voting Tutorial video for instructions on how to VOTE-BY-MAIL.
