The Strathroy-Caradoc Police Service has joined the CAMSafe program. SCPS wants to share this information with our community members in hopes that many will engage in the program and work together with the Police to keep our streets safe.
CAMSafe is a community CCTV and security video registry. It was established by the Belleville Police Service in June of 2021 and has had great success and community engagement. The program is now expanding into other communities across the province.

On December 18, 2023, the Strathroy-Caradoc Police Service received a call regarding a mischief at the Caradoc Public School located at 714 Bowan Street in the Municipality of Strathroy-Caradoc. This has been a recurring issue and the content of the mischief is concerning. Inappropriate photos and hate content such as Swastikas have been located on the building.

The Strathroy-Caradoc Police Service is investigating a theft that took place on December 16, 2023, at approximately 1:30 p.m. at the Canadian Tire located at 24614 Adelaide Road in Strathroy.
The suspect stole a Lincoln Electric 210 Welder valued at $3,600.
The suspect is described as male and wearing a mask and glasses. The clothing description includes a white HH (Helly Hansen) zip up coat with blue jeans, black boots and a dark-coloured toque (SEE PHOTO ON SOCIAL MEDIA).

The Strathroy-Caradoc Police Service is investigating a theft that took place on December 12th, 2023, at approximately 2:50 p.m., at the Walmart located at 150 Carroll Street East.
The suspect was observed placing approximately $850.00 worth of NBA cards, Magic cards and Pokémon cards in a laundry basket. He then proceeded to the fire exit door and exited the store without making any attempts to pay for the merchandise.

On December 8, 2023, at 4:45 a.m., the Strathroy-Caradoc Police Service were dispatched to a vehicle in the ditch at the intersection of Muncey Road and Middlemiss Drive in the Municipality of Strathroy-Caradoc. Police arrived on scene and determined the involved driver showed signs of impairment by alcohol.
A 53-year-old female was subsequently placed under arrest for operation while impaired.
