The Strathroy-Caradoc Police Service are looking for the public’s assistance to identify a fraud suspect.
The suspect contacted a senior citizen within our jurisdiction claiming to be a police sergeant from the RCMP. This suspect told the victim they had their grandson in custody and was requesting a large sum of cash to secure a lawyer for his bond. He claimed the victim would get the money back upon release of custody.

On Saturday, March 11, 2023 at approximately 8:45 pm, the accused attended the Circle K convenience store, located at 7 Front Street East, in the Municipality of Strathroy-Caradoc.
The accused brandished a knife demanding cigarettes. Once the items were turned over the male fled on foot. The store employee was not injured as a result of this incident.

On Thursday March 9, 2023, members of the Strathroy-Caradoc Police Criminal Investigations Division, the Street Crime Unit, and the Uniform Division executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant at an address in the north end of Strathroy, Ontario.

Deputy Chief Paul Landers will retire from Strathroy-Caradoc Police Service (SCPS) on December 31, 2022 after a 34-year career in policing and five years as Deputy Chief of SCPS.

On August 25, 2022 at approximately 7:00 p.m., an unknown male and female entered the Walmart located at 150 Carroll Street East. The two suspects were caught on video surveillance stealing several electric razors and electric toothbrushes. The estimated cost of the theft is over $2000.
