Strathroy-Caradoc Police Service would like to warn the public about a possible scam occurring in and around our community.
Information has been received that two males have been passing through town trying to sell what they claim is gold jewellery out of a silver Nissan Rogue. People who have purchased this gold discover after the fact that it is fake.

On Tuesday, February 1, 2022, the Strathroy-Caradoc Police Service were on general patrol in the area of High Street West. The Police located a stolen vehicle with stolen plates parked on the roadway. Through investigation, three males were located and arrested. A 23 year old from London was subsequently charged with Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000 and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000.

On Saturday, January 8, 2022, the Strathroy-Caradoc Police Service received a call regarding a possible impaired driver leaving the area of Buchanan Street in Strathroy. Police located the vehicle and accused male driver and initiated a vehicle stop. At that time the accused failed to stop for police and a pursuit was initiated. During the pursuit police determined that the danger to the public was too great to continue the pursuit and subsequently terminated.

Over the holidays, the Strathroy-Caradoc Police Service conducted enforcement through RIDE programs and general patrol to crack down on impaired driving.
As a result of this enforcement SCPS laid the following charges:
A 23 year old male from London was charged with:
• CC 320.15(1) Failure or refusal to comply with demand
• CC 145(4)(a) Failure to comply with undertaking
This male’s licence was suspended for 90 days and his vehicle was subsequently impounded for 7 days.
