NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING: MUNICIPALITY OF STRATHROY-CARADOC DEVELOPMENT CHARGES
Take notice that on Monday, February 2, 2015 the Council of the Municipality of Strathroy-Caradoc will hold a public meeting pursuant to The Development Charges Act, 1997, regarding proposed development charge rates and policies that will be applied throughout the Municipality. It is proposed that enactment of a new Development Charges By-law by Council would occur on a date subsequent to this public meeting.

The make-up of a variety of committees, boards, and other agencies that play a role in municipal government were finalized on December 15 by Strathroy-Caradoc Council.
Many of the committees include a combination of council representatives and members of the general public. The appointments will be in effect until the end of the term of the present council, November 30, 2018.

An Asset Management Plan prepared by Strathroy-Caradoc's financial department was presented to council on December 15.
The purpose of the plan is to identify all aspects of assets owned by the municipality, such as roads, buildings, vehicles, underground services, and so on. It then places a replacement value on those assets, and makes suggestions on how to save enough money to pay for their eventual replacement. Christmas trees may be disposed of at local transfer stations at no charge.
Trees will be accepted during regular transfer station open hours. During the months of December – February, the Strathroy Transfer Station at 27786 Pike Road is open the 2nd Saturday of the month. During the months of December – March, the Mount Brydges Transfer Station at 22416 Mill Road is open the 4th Saturday of the month.

Strathroy-Caradoc Council has selected a firm to create a Parks and Recreation Master Plan for the municipality.
Council on December 15 awarded the job to F.J. Galloway Associates Inc. of London, which not only scored the highest in evaluation criteria prepared by municipal staff, but also submitted the lowest price of the three firms which bid on the work.
The master plan is to be completed by June 2015. Its purpose will be to direct and guide the future of Parks & Recreation in the municipality...
