Strathroy-Caradoc residents will notice a new line item under the 'Special Charges' section of their tax bills delivered in the mail this month. The charge(s) listed in this section are based on the size and number of garbage wheelie bins used at each property. The item codes and associated charges will be listed as follows, depending on the bins property owners currently have:

The municipality has received a number of communications from residents expressing concern about the presence of coyotes in residential areas.
Conflicts with coyotes can be prevented by making changes on your property. Protecting pets and livestock, fencing gardens, and securing garbage and compost will help encourage coyotes to go elsewhere for food. Most importantly, residents are advised to never feed coyotes or other wildlife.

Rezoning has been approved that will allow the building of a pair of condominium apartment buildings at the north-west corner of Saulsbury Street and Drury Lane in Strathroy. Strathroy-Caradoc Council approved the rezoning after a public meeting held on July 15. The development is planned as a high-end seniors condominium community.
