Public response to Strathroy-Caradoc's new aquatic park since its opening has been very positive.
In a report to Strathroy-Caradoc Council presented on August 11, Parks and Recreation Director Rob Lilbourne said the number of visits has almost tripled from the number of visits to the former Strathroy Lions Club Pool in Alexandra Park in 2013.

The Sir Arthur Currie Memorial Project committee celebrated the unveiling of a life-size bronze statue of the famous First World War General on Monday, August 4th at Museum Strathroy-Caradoc. Currie was born just outside of Strathroy, and became the first Canadian commander of the Canadian Corps in WWI.

A new exhibit featured at Museum Strathroy-Caradoc invites visitors to travel through time to dirt roads and horse-drawn carriages, comparing the streetscapes of the past to how they are seen today.

Six Strathroy-Caradoc firefighters were honoured with long-service awards in a presentation at the July 21 council meeting.
Mayor Joanne Vanderheyden presented them with the Fire Services Exemplary Service Medal, representing 20 years of service, and Fire Services Exemplary Service Medal Service Bars for 30, 40, and 50 years of service.
