Please note that the Municipality of Strathroy-Caradoc does not conduct civil marriage ceremonies. For an up-to-date listing of registered officials who may conduct marriage ceremonies, please refer to the provincial registry.
Licences may be obtained by appointment at the municipal office for marriage ceremonies taking place anywhere in the province of Ontario. Licences are issued no more than three months prior to the date of the ceremony.
Our current marriage licence fee is $120.00.

Once your application has been submitted and approved, you will receive a notification e-mail regarding your approval. You will be prompted to make payment online and to book an appointment to finalize the licence at the municipal office.
If you were divorced outside of Canada and wish to re-marry, please follow this link to see what documentation the Province of Ontario requires before a marriage licence can be issued by the municipal office. *Please note: When picking up the licence at the municipal office, we will require original identification for each applicant as submitted in the online application.
After the marriage ceremony, your chosen officiate mails your completed marriage licence for registration to the Office of the Registrar General. Marriage certificates can only be obtained from the Registrar General. No marriage documentation is held at the municipal office.
