Municipal Office Closure In response to the ongoing province-wide shutdown, the Municipal Office is currently closed for in-person services. Staff remain available to assist the public by telephone and e-mail during regular business hours. Residents are encouraged to take advantage of our convenient telephone and online options for reporting issues, making payments, and accessing municipal services:

Marriage Licences & Commissioners of Oaths Services The issuance of marriage licences and Commissioners of Oaths services are currently suspended due to the Municipal Office closure in response to the provincial shut-down. The signing of pension forms is available by appointment only by calling 519-245-1105 ext. 237. Please note that all appointments for pension forms will be conducted outdoors. |

Garbage & Recycling Pick-Up Garbage & recycling collection operated by Bluewater Recycling Association continues as usual. Municipal Transfer Stations Municipal transfer stations are currently operating on winter hours. Credit and debit payment options are now available as cash is no longer accepted. Please practice physical distancing while on-site.

Strathroy Municipal Cemetery Strathroy Municipal Cemetery remains open for grave site visits and services. Those attending a service or visiting a grave site must follow directives in compliance with the Province of Ontario COVID-19 Response Framework. Staff are available for grave sales by appointment only. Services may be booked via telephone at 519-245-1070 or by e-mail by following this link. |
Police Services The Strathroy-Caradoc Police Service continues to support the Ontario Government in the fight against the spread of COVID-19. In an effort to maintain the health and safety of every citizen in Strathroy-Caradoc, our officers will enforce the Stay-At-Home Order under the Emergency Management and Civil Protection Act.
What you can expect: Strathroy-Caradoc Police Service will continue to prioritize emergency response; pandemic related complaints will continue to be investigated as lower priority calls for service. Police WILL respond to offence-based complaints where it is determined that a police response is required to address the situation. All complaints will be followed up and individuals who have violated restrictions may be fined. Police will not: Stop a pedestrian, vehicle or enter a dwelling for the singular purpose of checking compliance with the Stay-At-Home Order. Business Operations: The Strathroy-Caradoc Police Headquarters is open for essential service only. Individuals who need to speak to an Officer or Report a Crime will be granted access to the lobby one at a time after COVID screening. A mask must be worn at all times inside the building. All other non-emergency visits to the police station will be BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. Please contact the Administrative Assistant at Tdeboer@scps.on.ca or by calling (519) 245-1250 (Ext. 204) if you have any questions or requests regarding Criminal Records Checks or General Information before attending the building. Please protect yourself, family members and friends by staying at home and following health guidelines from the Middlesex-London Health Unit. |
Fire Services Brian George, Director of Fire Services/Fire Chief, provides the following information: Our Stations remain fully functional. We are taking precautionary measures to ensure that our volunteer fire fighters are able to attend emergencies. We have taken steps to alleviate any unnecessary contact in order to maintain this:

Inter-Community Transit Service The Municipality of Strathroy-Caradoc, the City of Sarnia, and the City of London launched the new inter-community transit service on August 4, 2020. Based upon the advice of Medical Health Officials in the province, and in each of our cities, we are taking every precaution to ensure the health and safety of passengers and employees is safeguarded and protected. Inter-Community Bus The inter-community bus service is made possible by the province of Ontario through the Community Transportation Grant Program. Over the three-year period, the program will provide accessible and convenient transportation for seniors, students, workers and youth, whether it be for employment, educational, leisure, connection to other regional transportation services or other uses. |

Declaration of Emergency The Municipality of Strathroy-Caradoc issued a Declaration of Emergency on March 17. Residents can be assured that the Municipality is maintaining all critical emergency services and is striving, day by day, to adapt to the changing situation. We will continue to provide the services that our community relies on. The Municipality will be updating its social media channels and/or website daily and new information will be posted as soon as it becomes available. Face Coverings Mandatory in All Indoor Enclosed Public Spaces Across Middlesex County Effective July 18, 2020, the Middlesex-London Health Unit required face coverings in all enclosed indoor public spaces across London and Middlesex County, including Strathroy-Caradoc.
