Report Street Flooding

Please call (519) 245-1070 to report street flooding, or report street flooding using this online form.

Municipal Water Issues

Property owners experiencing or who notice Municipal water issues can contact the Municipality by calling (519) 245-1070 (Business Hours), or (519) 435-6491 (After-Hours Emergencies Only).

Municipal Sewer Backup or Overflow

Property owners experiencing sewer back-ups must contact the Municipality immediately. This may be done by calling (519) 245-1070 (Business Hours), or (519) 435-6491 (After-Hours Emergencies Only).

  • Municipal staff will determine if the problem originates with municipal infrastructure, or if the problem is in your pipe.
  • If the mainline sewer is clear and flowing properly, the property owner is responsible for the initial maintenance of the Private Drain Connection to the Sewer Mainline Connection.
  • If the property owner continues to have problem with the sewer line, or indicates that the problem is located in the Municipal Road Allowance, the property owner is required to install a clean-out at the property line. If the property owner requests municipal assistance, a video and map must be provided to the Municipality detailing the problem area for review.
  • If the property owner experiences two sewer back-ups in a two-year period, and advised the Municipality of each occurance or provides appropriate proof (plumbing/rental invoices), the Municipality will initiate the video inspection provided the clean-out has been installed at the property line by the property owner.
  • If the video determines that the back-up was caused by the discharge of materials not conforming with Part 4 of the Sewer Use Bylaw, the property owner would be responsible for the cost of the video inspection and remediation.
  • If the property owner experiences two sewer back-ups in a two-year period, and the back-up was not caused by an unauthorized use of the sewer, a remediation plan will be determined by the Municipality to provide a long-term solution for the property.
