The Municipality of Strathroy-Caradoc and Strathroy-Caradoc Police Services have undergone a strategic planning process to identify the future goals and direction of each organization. Along with developing a plan for their future, the strategic plans have allowed both organizations to identify the goals and objectives that they will strive to achieve in the coming years.
Throughout the project, feedback was collected from residents, various community partners, Municipal and Police Service staff, and both the Strathroy-Caradoc Council and Police Services Board. This feedback was invaluable and helped to ensure that the plans developed were representative of the unique needs and interests of the community as a whole. With strategic plans now adopted by Strathroy-Caradoc Council and the Police Services Board, the Municipality is pleased to share the new plans with the public.
Thank you to the community for providing their invaluable feedback to the Strategic Plan surveys. To review the consolidated results from the random sample and community surveys, please see:
Why is strategic planning important? |
Strathroy-Caradoc Council sees the strategic planning process as a valuable way to develop consensus among themselves, to create a sense of purpose and teamwork with staff, and to communicate better with the community. The same is true for Police Services. Strategic planning for any law enforcement entity provides the vision and goals of the organization over time, with a roadmap for how those visions and goals will be accomplished. |
What’s the value of strategic planning for the Strathroy-Caradoc community? |
For the community, strategic planning is another opportunity to be heard and help design the future of the community. The Strategic Plan declares what Council and the Police Services are trying to achieve, and invites residents, businesses and community organizations to get on board. It makes transparent not only what services and assets are desirable but also the factors that get in the way. |
