The Strathroy-Caradoc Fire Department is a volunteer-based service that provides a range of programs to protect the lives and property of the inhabitants of the Municipality of Strathroy-Caradoc from the adverse effects of fires, sudden medical emergencies or exposure to dangerous conditions created by man or nature.
The Strathroy-Caradoc Fire Department operates three fire stations located in Strathroy, Mount Brydges, and Melbourne. The Administration Office for the department is located in Strathroy.
The department consists of a full time Fire Chief, an administrative assistant, and a volunteer Deputy Fire Chief responsible for the administration and management of the combined fire service of the municipality. A District Fire Chief, a Deputy District Fire Chief, Captains, and a complement of fire fighters are responsible for the operation of each of the three fire stations.
