On Saturday, January 8, 2022, the Strathroy-Caradoc Police Service received a call regarding a possible impaired driver leaving the area of Buchanan Street in Strathroy. Police located the vehicle and accused male driver and initiated a vehicle stop. At that time the accused failed to stop for police and a pursuit was initiated. During the pursuit police determined that the danger to the public was too great to continue the pursuit and subsequently terminated.
A short time after the accused was located and arrested by SCPS.
As a result of the investigation a 24 year old Strathroy resident is now charged with the following charges:
• Adult Operation While Impaired
• Adult Dangerous Operation
• Adult Operation While Impaired - Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 Plus)
• Adult Flight From Peace Officer
• Adult Take Motor Vehicle Without Consent
This male is expected to appear in London Court on January 27, 2022 to face these charges.
