Local Ceremonies Scheduled for Remembrance Day 2024

Municipality Announces Local Remembrance Day Ceremonies

As Remembrance Day approaches, the Municipality would like to highlight the various ceremonies taking place around the community. Events will be held on both Sunday, November 10, and Monday, November 11, at various locations:

• Sunday, November 10 – Melbourne Legion (21884 Melbourne Rd., Melbourne) will host a church service, wreath-laying ceremony, and potluck starting at 10:30 a.m.

• Monday, November 11 – A ceremony will take place at Cenotaph Park in Mount Brydges, beginning at approximately 10:45 a.m.

• Monday, November 11 – A ceremony will occur at the Strathroy Cenotaph, located between the Strathroy Public Library and the Municipal Office, also beginning at approximately 10:45 a.m.

  • Please note that Frank St. will be closed between James St. and Centre St. West from 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. to facilitate the Strathroy ceremony.
