September 19, 2024 – Norbec is open for business! Yesterday, Norbec Executives and Local Officials celebrated the grand opening of a brand-new Norbec manufacturing facility in Strathroy-Caradoc. Located on Wright Street in the Molnar Industrial Park, the 156,000-square-foot facility will manufacture insulated metal panels. Once produced, the panels are used for building exteriors, food processing plants, food services, grocery and convenience stores, clean rooms, and various other applications.
The 45 million dollar investment in Strathroy-Caradoc will employ 70 people and features state-of-the-art technology. After breaking ground on the new facility in late 2023, Norbec is now ready to begin production.
Norbec president Jan Lembregts stated that the company selected Strathroy-Caradoc after an extensive search of many communities. “The community is strategically located and offered all the attributes we sought after as part of our site selection process. We have been very pleased with the partnership with the Municipality and look forward to Norbec’s successful future in Strathroy-Caradoc,” stated Lembregts.
Strathroy-Caradoc Mayor Colin Grantham welcomed the company to the community, stating, “The Municipality is very pleased to be the Ontario location for Norbec, and we look forward to working with them to grow into the future.”
