Impaired Driver
On March 6, just before 2:30 a.m., police observed a motorist fail to stop for a red traffic signal at the intersection of Frank Street and Front Street in Strathroy. The driver, a 54 year old man from Strathroy, subsequently failed a roadside breath demand and was arrested for Exceeding 80 milligrams of alcohol in 100 milliliters of blood. The male refused to provide samples of his breath at police headquarters and faces a charge of refusing to provide a breath sample; he is scheduled to appear in court on March 24.
Break &Enter - Residence
Police are investigating a break-in to a shed located at a McEvoy Road address. Sometime between February 21 and March 6, unknown parties entered the detached shed and stole a green Arctic Cat 300 ATV, a custom made grey utility trailer, a lime green 90 CC Baja Trail motor bike and a yellow TSC brand generator. Theft of Vehicle & Attempted Theft of Vehicle
On Tuesday March 8, police investigated a theft of a white 1999 GMC Sonoma pickup truck. The truck was taken sometime overnight from an address on Adelaide Road, Mount Brydges.
Police also investigated an attempt theft of a 1998 GMC Sierra from an address on Queen Street, Mount Brydges. Both incidents are believed to be related.
Police encourage residents to remain vigilant and continue to contact police if they observe anything that they feel is suspicious.
