A public meeting will be held to initiate the Strathroy-Caradoc Official Plan Review. Municipalities are required to update their Official Plan at least every five years, in accordance with Section 26 of the Ontario Planning Act. Your insights and input will help inform and shape the updated Official Plan.
What is an Official Plan?
An Official Plan is a legal document which contains goals, objectives, and policies to guide land use, development, and growth in Strathroy Caradoc.
Why are we reviewing the Official Plan?
We are reviewing the Official Plan to ensure that it conforms with the latest provincial policies and the County of Middlesex Official Plan. The Municipality is also completing several different studies, master plans, and reports as part of this project
to help inform the updated Official Plan policies.
How do I get involved?
We encourage you to get involved and share your thoughts and comments. You are invited to provide input in several ways:
1) Review materials online. As the Official Plan Review progresses, documents and materials will be made available on the Municipality’s new project website: growingtogethersc.ca/opr for review.
2) Share your ideas & questions. Visit growingtogethersc.ca/opr to post your ideas and questions about the Official Plan Review. Future ways to get involved will be posted at a later date.
3) Provide written comments. Written comments about the Official Plan Review can be submitted via post or email. Please allow time for your comments to be received in advance of the meeting.

4) Participate in a Special Meeting of Municipal Council. You may provide comments at the public meeting by phone or online. Only those that register will be permitted to participate in this meeting.

Due to COVID-19, the format of Statutory Public Meetings has changed and will now take place virtually. There are many ways for you to participate, including by phone or using a computer.

Staff will return your call and provide participation options and details within a couple of days of the meeting. The meeting will be broadcast live at 6:00 p.m. on March 15, 2021 at www.strathroy-caradoc.ca/meetings.
