A host of free activities are taking place in Strathroy-Caradoc as local residents celebrate Culture Days on September 27, 28, and 29.
Visit the Art Group in the lower level of Town Hall (52 Frank St., Strathroy) for watercolour painting, relief printing on gift bags, and wood sculpting. The Art Group’s venue will operate Friday 3 p.m. – 7 p.m., and again on Saturday from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Karen Caughlin Studio will be open at 351 Adelaide St., Strathroy, where visitors will be able to participate in the creation of a large mural painting. Join Karen and guest Samantha Couto as they guide you through the process. All levels of artistic ability welcome! The studio will be open Saturday 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. and Sunday 12 p.m. – 4 p.m.
Museum Strathroy-Caradoc is opening the doors of its Collections Storage Facility at 34B Frank St. (behind Strathroy Public Library). Go behind the scenes and handle some of Strathroy-Caradoc’s history on Friday from 3 p.m. – 7 p.m. and on Saturday, 12 p.m. – 4 p.m.
Culture Days is a national three-day celebration that happens every September, where artists and cultural organizations invite the public to participate in free interactive and “behind the scenes” activities. More information about Culture Days activities can be found at www.culturedays.ca.
