There are many rewarding jobs within the Strathroy-Caradoc Police Service (SCPS) that don't involve wearing a uniform.
Our civilian employees provide support and specialized expertise to the entire Service, specifically in the area of 911 Communications.
Communicators are the first point of contact with the public answering both emergency and routine calls for service. They provide call details and offer ongoing support, assisting officers working on the front lines. The Central Communications Centre is responsible for logging all activities by members of the Service. This includes everything from calls for service, traffic stops, property checks, and court, to vehicle repairs. All calls for service are assigned an occurrence number and dispatched to a Police Officer for further investigation.
Civilian opportunities may include permanent full-time or part-time, or temporary full-time, part-time or as required. Some civilian opportunities may also be shift-work. All details will be included in each job posting.
