The next municipal election will be held Monday, October 26, 2026.
The previous municipal election was held on October 24, 2022. Under the Municipal Elections Act, the four-year term of office for the current council and school board trustees began November 15, 2022, and ends on November 14, 2026.

How to Vote in the Election and Voter Cards
The Municipality of Strathroy-Caradoc Council approved the use of telephone and electronic voting for the 2026 Municipal Election.
You can vote from any device: desktop, laptop, tablet, mobile phone or landline.
Eligible voters whose name appears on the voters list will receive a Voter Instruction Letter ("voter card") containing a unique PIN and instructions on how to vote.
You can vote by internet or telephone anytime during the Voting Period, which runs from October 19 at 9:00 am to October 26 at 8:00 pm.
Voter Cards
Your voter card should arrive in the mail by October 19, 2026. This card is required in order to access the online and telephone voting system.

The Voter Help Centre is open during the advance voting period to assist electors with the telephone/internet voting process as well as other general election inquiries, including revisions.
Please remember to bring your Voter Identification Letter (with your PIN) if you wish to vote at the Voter Help Centre.
The Voter Help Centre is located at the municipal office: 52 Frank Street, Lower Level, Strathroy.

Confirm Your Information On The Voters List
Any inquiries regarding voter information should be directed to voterhelp@strathroy-caradoc.ca or by calling 519-245-1070.
However, anyone wishing to be added to the voters list must visit the municipal office in person to complete an Application to Amend Voters List form and present valid photo identification (health cards are not accepted).
The municipal office is open Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m (excluding holidays).
School Board Support
As a property owner, you are required to support a school system even if you do not have children or your children are not currently attending school. The school board you support dictates for which school board trustees you are eligible to vote.
The Municipal Property Assessment Corporation (MPAC) is responsible for maintaining information on the school support associated with your property.
- You can find which school system you are supporting on your Property Assessment Notice or through AboutMyProperty, a free, self-service application provided by MPAC.
- To change your school support designation, visit the MPAC website.

2022 Financial Statements
It is the responsibility of a candidate to file a complete and accurate financial statement by the filing deadline of Friday, March 31, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. Those candidates who did not file a financial statement by the legislative deadline had the opportunity to file within 30 days of the deadline with a late filing fee of $500.
Those candidates who failed to file a financial statement by the end of the 30-day grace period are ineligible to run or be appointed to fill a vacancy until after the 2026 election.
