Chief Administrative Office

The Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) is the head of staff at the municipality. The CAO acts as the primary liaison between staff and council, ensuring that council's directives are properly implemented by various departments, and providing support to Council in its policy, planning, budgeting, and economic development functions.

The CAO ensures programs and policies are implemented in a timely and efficient manner and within the goals and values of the organization. Additionally, the CAO acts as the primary point of contact between the municipality and the business community, promoting economic development in the municipality and business relocation and retention.

Human Resources 

Human Resources is responsible for providing ongoing services to all employees and departments within the Municipality of Strathroy-Caradoc. The department administers and oversees various Human Resource functions which include:

  • Recruitment and Selection;
  • Training and Development;
  • Health and Safety Programs;
  • Payroll and Benefit Administration;
  • Development of Employment Policies;
  • Employee and Labour Relations;
  • Employment Legislation Administration and Compliance;
  • Assists in Administering and Negotiating all Collective Agreements; and
  • Job Evaluation and Pay Equity.

Human Resources is also responsible for developing and recommending policies and strategies to address the organizational objectives of the Municipality.
