Vision 2055
In May 2025, Council participated in two workshops facilitated by David Cash of Cash & Associates to develop ten vision statements outlining Strathroy-Caradoc’s growth over the next 30 years.
Earlier, in May 2024, Council requested further information to support decisions on the settlement boundary expansion as part of the Official Plan Comprehensive Review. The release of the Provincial Planning Statement 2024 (PPS 2024) in October provided updated population projections, which were incorporated into new forecasts by Watson and Associates. These include detailed population and employment projections extending beyond the 30-year planning horizon, helping assess potential lands for expansion in Mt. Brydges and Strathroy. Council’s vision will help guide recommendations on which lands to include.
In June 2025, the Municipality issued an RFP for a Class “C” Environmental Assessment to evaluate waste water infrastructure needs in Mount Brydges. If approved, this study will reference Council’s vision and recommendations.
The ten vision statements reflect Council’s long-term outlook for community and organizational growth. They are not tied to financial commitments but offer strategic direction to staff and the public.
