Reminders for Residents
Keep drainage clear
- Clear leaves and debris from street catch basins near your property so water can drain properly.
- Ensure ditches and culverts on or near your property are not blocked.
Protect your home
- Check that downspouts are directed away from your foundation.
- Make sure sump pumps are working properly and have a backup power source if possible.
Stay away from high water
- Keep children and pets away from fast-moving water and swollen creeks.
- Do not walk or drive through flooded areas.
Monitor local conditions
- Watch municipal channels for updates on road closures, flooding, or emergency information.
Report issues
- Report blocked catch basins, flooded roads, or erosion concerns to the municipality.
