The Municipality of Strathroy-Caradoc Announces Appointment of New Deputy Fire Chief

Strathroy, Ontario – August 26, 2025 - The Municipality of Strathroy-Caradoc is pleased to announce Stephanie Cyros as the newly appointed Deputy Fire Chief – Training, Prevention and Emergency Management, effective September 22, 2025.

Cyros brings with her over 16 years of dedicated experience including her current roles as Captain with the Strathroy-Caradoc Fire Department, Educational Consultant with the Ontario Fire College as well as Provincial Evaluator with the Office of the Fire Marshall. Cyros brings a unique blend of operational expertise, instructional leadership, and emergency management experience to the role.

In her new role, Deputy Chief Cyros will be responsible for the coordination and oversight of all training within the fire department, including National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) standardized curriculums as prescribed by the Province for fire service personnel. The Deputy Chief is also responsible for oversight of the Fire Prevention Division to ensure compliance with the Ontario Fire Code and other Regulations under the Fire Protection and Prevention Act, 1997. Furthermore, this position will serve as the Community Emergency Management Coordinator (CEMC).
