[Updated Aug 20] Open Burn Ban Still In Effect

UPDATE: August 20, 2025 - BURN BAN REMAINS IN EFFECT for Strathroy-Caradoc

Small recreational fires are now permitted (due to the prolonged rain and improvement in air quality.) Fires should not be left unattended and should be completely extinguished at the end of the evening.

Strathroy-Caradoc will continue the Open Burn Ban for brush piles until further notice.

UPDATE: August 12, 2025 - A Complete Fire Ban Is Now In Place for Strathroy-Caradoc

This means:

🔥Backyard fires and open burns are NOT Permitted
❌No new open burn permits will be issued or approved during the Ban
âś… Propane grills, fire tables, BBQs (charcoal or gas) are permitted.

Unauthorized fires can create serious safety risks to Strathroy-Caradoc residents and may result in fines and other charges under Municipal By-Laws and the Ontario Fire Code.

This fire ban is in effect until further notice.
