Land Acknowledgement Statement
Strathroy-Caradoc
The Municipality of Strathroy-Caradoc acknowledges that it is located on Treaty 21 territory - Indigenous land that has been inhabited by Indigenous peoples for thousands of years. We wish to recognize the three First Nations communities with longstanding ties to this area: Chippewa of the Thames First Nation (Anishinaabe); Oneida Nation of the Thames (Haudenosaunee); and Munsee-Delaware Nation (Leni-Lunaape) and wish to show respect to these communities today.
We acknowledge and thank all generations of Indigenous People across Turtle Island for their commitment, contributions, and protection of the land and its resources and acknowledge that this is sacred land upon which we are privileged to live and work.
