Request For Major Drain Improvement - Humphrey Drain
A motion was carried on Monday evening to accept the Notice of Request for Major Drain Improvement for the Huymphrey Drain 1999 and authorize Spriet Associates to prepare an engineers report on the matter.
About The Humphrey Drain:
The natural watercourse known as Trout Creek is located in Strathroy-Caradoc, originating southwest of Scotchmere Drive and McEvoy Road. The creek flows downstream in a northwesterly direction around the urban limits of Strathroy, eventually discharging into the Sydenham River in Strathroy just north of Metcalfe Street West near Strathroy Cemetery.
700 Adair Boulevard Public Open House
On May 29th from 6:00 to 8:00pm, learn about the new proposed development of commercial and residential units coming to 700 Adair Boulevard. This proposal includes mixed-use development in our community of Strathroy and the developer is seeking public input and feedback before presenting it to the Municipality of Strathroy-Caradoc.

Temporary Noise Permits Requested from Caradoc Sands Golf Course
The Municipality has received ten temporary noise permit applications from Caradoc Sands Golf Course for outdoor wedding events taking place over the summer months. The venue is currently working to make modifications to their sound system and sound curtain to help reduce noise levels that have produced resident complaints in the past. Municipal staff intend to test the area with a calibrated decibel reader once the venue has their new sound system and sound curtain in place.
The noise by-law will be reviewed at the next council meeting and if there’s no mitigation in the noise level or complaints then adjustments to the timing and/or noise by-law will be considered by Council.
Woods Edge Playground Update
Council received a report on the Woods Edge Playground update. The company Park N Water was approved to supply and install the playground equipment and accessories and the Woods Edge Park preferred concept was provided.
Playground concepts can be viewed online: https://pub-strathroy-caradoc.escribemeetings.com/filestream.ashx?DocumentId=27510
