Please TAKE NOTICE THAT the Council of the Municipality of Strathroy-Caradoc will consider removing the holding symbol (‘H’) on October 19, 2026, to the lands legally described as 24648 Adelaide Road, Strathroy.

The subject property is zoned 'site-specific Highway Commercial (C2-15-H-2-H-9) Holding Zone'. The Holding Symbol (H) was applied to the property and may only be removed once a site plan agreement for the subject lands have been entered into with, and to the satisfaction of the Municipality addressing issues identified under Section 41 of the Planning Act as well as the required stormwater outlet be constructed to the satisfaction of the Municipality. The applicant has entered into a site plan agreement with the Municipality of Strathroy-Caradoc and is now seeking to remove the hold (H-2) symbol, and where the stormwater management/municipal drain has been completed in 2025, they are now seeking to remove the hold (H-9) symbol. The effect of the application to remove the Holding Symbols (H-2 and H-9) on the subject lands is to allow for on-site development to commence with the construction of a new mixed-use building. |
