When a Snow Angel is recruited, they will remove snow from the essential pathways of their assigned resident(s) each time it snows for the season. This helps to alleviate safety concerns for the resident in need of assistance.
Snow Angels Program
The Snow Angels Program is a volunteer program that matches volunteers (Snow Angels) with residents in need of assistance with snow clearing.
How often will my snow be removed?
Snow will be removed when it snows, and when your Snow Angel is available to shovel.
We are unable to guarantee the time of snow removal. Volunteers are generally students or work daytime hours. This results in snow often not being removed until the evening hours.
Please note: the Municipality will not be able to use their own snow removal resources as a substitute within this program.
Residents must live within the Municipality of Strathroy-Caradoc to register as a recipient.
What happens when a Resident gets matched to a Snow Angel?
The resident will be contacted by the Municipality and notified they have been matched with a Snow Angel.
Please note: Signing up does not guarantee you will receive assistance.
Can Snow Angels use this program for volunteer hours?
Yes! High school students are welcome to use their volunteer hours for this program.
| Please Note: As this is a volunteer program, we are unable to guarantee that residents will receive assistance. Every effort is made to match residents with snow angels but, at times, we do not have enough volunteers. |
If you would like to register for assistance or to be a Snow Angel, please fill out the form below or call 519-245-1070.
