Active Days 55+ Program

Active Days is a recreational program for adults 55+ in the Strathroy-Caradoc community. Designed for a variety of interests and ability levels, the program offers activities that support physical, cognitive, emotional, and social well-being. Participants can choose the activities that best suit their interests, with options ranging from drop-in programs to registered sessions.

Currently, programming is offered Monday–Friday, generally between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. Programming is not offered on holidays. 


Active Days is for adults 55+ who are interested in staying active, social, engaged and connected with their community. 

Whether you are looking to try a new activity, meet new people, learn something new or simply enjoy time with others, Active Days offers a variety of opportunities to participate and connect. 

You do not have to live in Strathroy-Caradoc to participate. We welcome participants 
from surrounding communities and beyond!

Programs will change and evolve throughout the year based on the season, participant interest and community feedback. Future programming may include seasonal outdoor activities, gardening during the summer months, winter meals and baking, and other new opportunities

Please check the individual program description for any specific requirements. Participants should generally wear comfortable clothing and appropriate footwear and are encouraged to bring a water bottle if desired.

During the winter months, participants are asked to bring a change of indoor footwear. 

Equipment and supplies will be provided for most programs unless otherwise noted.

You can register for Active Days programs through the Municipality of Strathroy-Caradoc registration portal.

Registration dates, upcoming programs and schedule updates will also be shared through the Municipality's website and other communication channels.

How to Register for Active Days 55+ Programs

Step 1: Open the registration portal. On the far left-hand side, click Recreation Programs.

Step 2: Scroll to the bottom and click Active Days 55+.

 

Step 3: Browse the available programs using the up and down arrows on the right-hand side of the screen.

Step 4: When you find a program you are interested in, click Register Now.

 

Step 5: Use the up and down arrows again to browse the available program dates and choose the dates you would like to attend.

Step 6: Click the empty box beside each date you would like to register for. Once selected, a check mark will appear in the box.

Step 7: From here, you can select Keep Shopping if you would like to register for additional programs, or continue with your registration.

Step 8: Review the dates you selected to make sure they are correct. Click Next to continue, or select Update if you need to make any changes.

 

Step 9: Read through the agreement and click the box to confirm that you have read and agree to the Terms of Service.

Step 10: Click Next

 

 

Step 11: Enter your payment information and complete your payment.

That’s it! You’re registered.

You will receive a confirmation email with information about your program and registration.

Prices vary. Please check the program listing for exact pricing, as costs differ by activity.

Active Days program fees will be primarily based off of the council approved 2026 Schedule of Fees and Charges by-law (#131-25).

Active Days aims to provide a welcoming and accessible experience. Many Active Days programs can be adapted to different abilities and comfort levels.

Some programs offer seated and standing options or modifications to activities. Participants are encouraged to move at a comfortable pace and choose options that work best for them.

Active Days programs will have a primary location at the Caradoc Community Centre (565 Lion's Park Dr., Mount Brydges, ON N0L 1W0) and at various indoor (e.g. West Middlesex Memorial Centre) and outdoor facilities throughout the community.

Please check the individual program listing for the specific location of each activity. Program locations may occasionally change based on registration numbers, attendance or program requirements. Participants will be notified of any significant changes.

Programs may be held in the: 

  • Longwoods Hall
  • Hartford Room
  • Wendigo Room
  • Kitchen
  • Outdoor spaces 

Outdoor programs and activities may be affected by weather conditions.

Depending on the program, activities may be moved indoors, modified, postponed or cancelled. Participants will be notified of any changes when possible.

Additional program calendars and information will be available at the Caradoc Community Centre.

These calendars may include more specific details about upcoming activities, such as:
• The weekly soup or meal being prepared 
• Upcoming Crafty Corner projects 
• Community Speaker Series topics and guest speakers 
• Nature Walk themes and activities 
• Special games, activities and seasonal events

Be sure to check the calendar at the facility regularly to see what's coming up.

We are happy to welcome volunteers who are interested in supporting Active Days programs and activities.

Adults aged 55+ who have a skill, hobby, interest or experience they would like to share may also have the opportunity to help lead or facilitate a program or activity. 

Community members, local organizations and individuals who are interested in volunteering, supporting a program, sharing their knowledge or presenting to participants through the Community Speaker Series are also encouraged to get in touch.
