South Grove Meadows Park Now Open

The new South Grove Meadows neighbourhood park in Ward 2 is now open for the community to enjoy.

Located at Lindsay Crescent and Elwood Street, Strathroy, the new park features playground equipment designed with input from local residents and provides a new recreational space for children, families and neighbours.

Community input helped shape the design

Community engagement was an important part of the park’s development. Municipal staff hosted multiple Public Information Meetings with residents living within 125 metres of the proposed park to share initial playground design concepts and gather feedback.

Comments received during these meetings were provided to Park N Water Ltd. and used to refine the playground designs. A follow-up Public Information Meeting was held in early January 2026, where the revised concepts were presented. Following this consultation, the preferred playground design was selected.

Council subsequently approved Park N Water Ltd. to supply and install the playground equipment at a total value of $453,422.35, excluding HST.

The completed park is now ready to welcome the community. We look forward to seeing residents enjoy this new neighbourhood recreational space for years to come.
