Municipal Election 2026 - Notice of Nomination for Office

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN TO THE MUNICIPAL ELECTORS OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF STRATHROY-CARADOC FOR THE 2026 MUNICIPAL ELECTION

A Municipal Election will be held on Monday, October 26, 2026, for the offices where a greater number of
candidates are certified than are required to fill the offices. Nominations for the Municipality of Strathroy-Caradoc will be accepted for the offices of:

Municipal Council

• Mayor: One (1) to be elected by all voters in the Municipality of Strathroy-Caradoc
• Deputy-Mayor: One (1) to be elected by all voters in the Municipality of Strathroy-Caradoc
• Councillors: Seven (7) to be elected by all voters in the Municipality of Strathroy-Caradoc
  • Four (4) to be elected by voters in Ward 1 (former Town of Strathroy)
  • Three (3) to be elected by voters in Ward 2 (former Caradoc Township)

School Boards

• Thames Valley District School Board – Two (2) members to be elected.
• London & District Catholic School Board –One (1) member to be elected.
• Conseil scolaire Viamonde (French Public School Board) –One (1) member to be elected.
• Conseil scolaire catholique Providence (French Separate School Board) –One (1) member to be elected.

Nomination Period is May 1, 2026 at 9:00 a.m. - August 21, 2026 at 2:00 p.m.

• Nomination packages are available at the Strathroy-Caradoc Municipal Office, located at 52 Frank Street, Strathroy, during office hours (9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.) , and can also be found on the Municipality's website att https://www.strathroy-caradoc.ca/city-hall/municipal-election/
• Nomination papers must be filed in person at the Municipal Office by Friday, August 21 at 2:00 p.m.
• Nominations for the Conseil scolaire Viamonde (French Public School Board) must be filed with the City Clerk of the City of London
• Nominations for the Conseil scolaire Catholique Providence (French Separate School Board) must be filed with the Clerk of the City of Woodstock

Internet/Telephone Voting for the 2026 Municipal Election

Strathroy-Caradoc residents will vote using the internet or telephone. Eligible voters will have the opportunity to vote anywhere, any time using their tablet, computer, or phone during the voting period from: October 19 - 26, 2026. A Voter Information Letter will be mailed to you in mid-October. The Voter Information Letter will contain your Personal Identification Number (PIN) and all information required to vote.
